Introduction to the clear crystal singing bowls
2017/7/31

The clear crystal singing bowls are much lighter in weight than the Frosted bowls, and all of them, from 6 to 10 inches in diameter, can be held on the palm or fingertips to play. Someone made the analogy that the weight difference in the clear and frosted bowls is like the difference between a coffee mug and a wine glass. These clear bowls have much thinner walls and bases. This property also gives these bowls a somewhat more bell-like or angelic tone. Despite their delicate appearance, these bowls are shown to be just as durable as the frosted ones.

Generally speaking, clear crystal singing bowl is what is called a clear 'flat-bottomed' bowl. The same as the frosted bowl, each clear crystal singing bowl also matches an o-ring, so that it could sit freely and can be played hands-free. Optically clear bowls are not as loud as frosted bowls as they have smaller walls, however, they have a much longer sustain and a clearer tone. If you are playing bowls personally, clear bowls would be a great option for you. We suggest buying a clear bowl that is at least 8 inches in diameter, as smaller clear bowls can be difficult to play.
